Like many others before me, I first came to Sonoma as a visitor but quickly fell in love with the city’s history, vibrant community, and picturesque setting. I moved to Sonoma to build a business, start a family, and become an active part of this community. I am an attorney by training, and I consider all perspectives and concerns before I come up with a creative and practical solution. Having grown up in Charleston, South Carolina, I value the historical significance of Sonoma, and I am committed to honor and protect that history. As a business owner, I value the entrepreneurial spirit of Sonoma that has existed ever since this city was first settled. I believe locally owned businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I support transparent permitting procedures and clear building and operating guidelines so that business owners have a clear vision of what they need to do to build their dreams. Most of all, I am committed to preserving and improving the quality of life in Sonoma so that my children will treasure this city as much as people do today.
